Delivering an additional £2m revenue growth

I'm often asked about how to address significant revenue growth challenges within a short time-frame, without hiring an army of consultants!

The good news is that it is indeed possible, but be warned, these projects are so fast paced they make the television series ‘24’ look like it's in slow motion!

To shine a light on what can be accomplished within a 12-week time frame, I’ve selected an example from a recent revenue growth project for a B2B technology company. Ideations can be costly when you factor in the preparation, participants’ time, and venue costs. However, the most significant cost, and the one most difficult to measure, is the cost
of failure – i.e. not generating the right quality and volume of ideas. This kind of failure can delay an innovation programme, allow competitors to get one step ahead, and channel investment towards the development of weak ideas. Ultimately, it will impact your revenue growth.

Success relies on the facilitator’s skill in identifying ideation killers as and when they arise, and making ‘in-flight adjustments’ to ensure a high volume of good ideas are generated. The attached article highlights common ideation killers, and what you can do to avoid them.
